MARCHESI de’ FRESCOBALDI – History Meets Modernity
Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi is one of the most significant wine families in Italy (possibly the world), both historically and in our own time. With 700 years of winemaking behind them, experiencing Frescobaldi is like travelling back through the history of Florence, from the Middle ages to the present day. In the 14th century the Frescobaldi family became the first land owners in Tuscany to import and cultivate French vine cuttings. Today they own and manage nine wine estates with more than 1,000 hectares of vines.
Continually making improvements to their extensive vineyards they strive to craft wines with the finest combination of tradition and innovation. The results can be tasted in the bottle, and are recognized by the greatest wine critics of our time. Wine Spectator has handed out numerous scores in the 90s over the years, and their wines are consistently listed in the magazine’s Top 100 Wines year after year. The Frescobaldi family and their wines are legendary, collectible and unmatched on the world’s wine stage.
