Since its first release in 1998, Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa has conquered the status of being one of the great Portuguese wines, having received top reviews in the national and international press over recent years. It is exclusively sourced from Vinha Maria Teresa, a small plot of centenary vines that inspired its name and which is one of the oldest at Quinta do Crasto. This vineyard plot is located at extremely low altitudes and enjoys excellent sun exposure. Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa is a super premium, single vineyard, Douro DOC red wine that is only bottled in exceptional years and always in strictly limited numbers. Taking advantage of the low yield of these old vines, the Quinta do Crasto winemaking team has managed to make a world class wine that is complex and full of character and that is capable of ageing in the bottle for years to come. Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa has only been produced in the following years: 1998, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015.
